WALL BOX (WBP)

(Exhaust or Supply (-R) Fans)

Illustrated is a typical installation for the Acme wall box package

(WBP) with fan. Flashing over wall box angles by others. Wall Box

fans 42” and larger with heavy motors require additional support

using hanging rods or support from underneath. It is preferable to

frame in the opening with 2 x 6 material, or similar suitable materi-

al or metal channels adequate for support of the fan. The installer

provides suitable fasteners (hex bolts or lag screws) to secure the

fan. Dampers are designed to reduce drafts, prevent entry of for-

eign material and limit the amount of rain that enters the building.

The dampers are weather-resistant and are not weather-proof.

See Figure 6 & 7 and Table 3 for recommend wall opening (W.O.)

WALL COLLAR (WCP)

(Exhaust or Supply (-R) Fans

Illustrated is a typical installation for the Acme wall collar package

fan (WCP). Mounting flanges should be caulked to the exterior of

the wall. Flashing over wall collar angles by others. Wall Collar

fans 42” and larger with heavy motors require additional support

using hanging rods or support from underneath. It is preferable to

frame in the opening with 2 x 6 material, or similar suitable materi-

al or metal channels adequate for support of the fan. The installer

provides suitable fasteners (hex bolts or lag screws) to secure the

fan. Dampers are designed to reduce drafts, prevent entry of for-

eign material and limit the amount of rain that enters the building.
