Remove the RTC battery.

Separating the Lower Case from the Upper Case

See “Removing the Middle Cover” on page 52

See “Removing the Keyboard” on page 52

Disconnect the touchpad cable from the main board.

Disconnect the cover switch cable and the microphone cable from the main board.

Release the six screws from the bottom of the main unit as shown below.
