Chapter 3

Removing the CD-ROM and FDD Module

CAUTION:

A CD-ROM and FDD module is NOT hot swappable. Before replacing it, you must first

take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system, turn off

the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power cord from the system or

wall outlet.

Rotate the handle bar up about 1/4-inch(6-mm) to unlatch the module from the bay.

Grasp the handle bar at both ends and firmly pull out to disengage the connector.

(When you first pull, resistance will be high until the connector disengages).

Slide the module out of the cage.
