3 System upgrade

Press the HDD carrier latch

(A)

Pull the lever and slide the carrier from the chassis

(B)

Observe the post-installation instructions described on page 28.

For instructions on how to install a new hard disk, refer to the next
section.

To install an HDD:

Note:

To puchase a HDD carrier, contact your local Acer

representative.

Perform steps 1 through 6 described in the “To remove an HDD”
section on page 35.

If necessary, remove the air baffle from the HDD carrier.

(1) Remove the four screws that secure the air baffle to the HDD

carrier

(A)

(2) Remove the air baffle from the HDD carrier

(B)

(3) Save the air baffle and screws for later use.
