CLEANING AND CARE

Cleaning

CAUTION: Be sure to turn off the power switch and unplug the appliance before cleaning to avoid

electric shock.

•  Clean your appliance with a soft cloth, moistened with lukewarm water.
•  Avoid getting water droplets in any of the vents, as this may lead to damage to the electronic

components.

•  Use a soft, dry cloth to completely dry the appliance after cleaning.
•  Clean the appliance after use and before storage.

CAUTION: Do not soak the appliance in water. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents

during cleaning, as these can damage the appliance. Do not use scouring agents or
scrapers when cleaning.

Defrosting

•  Humidity can form frost in the interior of the appliance or on the evaporator.
•  Frost buildup reduces the cooling capacity. Defrosting the appliance can help to avoid this:

1.  Switch off and unplug the device first to avoid electric shock.
2.  Take out all the items stored in the device.
3.  Keep the lid open.
4.  Wipe off the defrosted water.

•  Never use hard or pointed tools to remove ice or to loosen objects which have frozen in place.

Storage

If the appliance will not be in use for an extended period of time, follow these instructions:
1.  Switch the appliance off and unplug from any power source.
2.  Remove any stored items.
3.  Wipe off excess water with a soft rag.
4.  Put the appliance in a cool, dry place.
5.  Leave the lid slightly open to prevent odors from forming.

NOTE:

It is recommended that the ambient temperature of the room where the appliance is stored

be approximately 25°C (77°F), with an ambient humidity of less than 75%.

Energy-Saving Tips

•

Place the appliance in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

•  Cool items before storing them in the appliance, if possible.
•  Do not set the temperature colder than necessary.
•  Do not open the appliance more than necessary.
•  Do not leave the lid open longer than necessary.
