START UP
First of all, please remove any activa-
tion safeguards (e.g. a black activation
safety device) and make sure that the
activation safeguard does not get into
the device! Then, press the device’s
red activation button (Fig. 1, I.) which
is shown in the picture on page 3.
After being pressed, this button must
be flush with the housing of the
device. To confirm that your smoke
alarm is now activated, a short test
tone will sound after activation. This
test tone is repeated when you press
the test/stop button (IV.) and is an
indication that the device is ready for
operation.
FUNCTION
Heat warning function:
• Heat warning function is triggered
at 60°C
• Single beep every second
ALARM AND INDICATION SOUNDS
Indication sounds:
When the device is activated,
a single sound is emitted (short
beep).
Volume:
Cause: Activation tone
Indication sounds:
When the test/stop button is
pressed, a single sound (long beep)
is emitted.
Volume:
Cause: Test tone
