Note
Smoke from cooking or a dusty oven can trigger the detector (false alarm due to disturbance
variables). The warning signal switches off as soon as the air is completely clean. If the
warning signal rings again, activate the heat mode. Note the information on selecting the
location of the detector.
Do not separate the batteries from the detector, as this means the detector will no longer set
off fire warnings.

Maintenance
To ensure the detector continues to function properly, you must test it once a week as described in section
"How to test your smoke alarm / heat detector".
9.6
Cleaning
Clean the detector housing with a dry or damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
Here’s how you to clean your detector:
1.
Remove the detector from its mounting fixture.
2.
Remove the batteries.
3.
Use a small paintbrush to remove dirt.
4.
Reattach the detector to the mounting fixture.
5.
Check if the detector is functioning properly as described in chapter 9.4.
