6.2. Voice Training the Pilot Pro
Every person pronounces the same words slightly different. To ensure that the
Pilot Pro always understands you correctly you will “teach and train ” the Pro on
how you say your commands.
Make sure that no loud noises occur near you during training (door banging, voices,
television.) You’ll want a quiet environment for voice training.
Note:
For best results carry out the training at the same place and at the same distance
as the Pilot Pro will be used on a regular basis (e.g., at the bedside, on the wheelchair).
Pronounce the commands the same way you will pronounce them later.
The first
training session is automatically carried out TWICE.
1. Switch on: Set the slide switch on the left side of your Pilot Pro to position
ON
and
press one of the red function keys briefly.
2. Press
LR
to enter the set-up mode.
3. Continue pressing
l
until the “training” menu appears.
4. Press key

to move to bottom line.

You have now two options:
6. If you wish to do a complete training of ALL command words push
LR
. You will
be prompted automatically to repeat all the command words that are possible.
Note:
Please don’t move your Pro during the training. For best results avoid background
noises.
Also – The Pilot Pro allows voice training up to eight (8) times for each word.
However four (4) times should be the average for a normal, CONSISTENT voice.
