10 Troubleshooting
Please observe the attached ‘Warranty’ document. In the event of any doubts and/or problems, please
contact your retailer or the manufacturer.
DANGER
Risk of injury and machine damage when handled by unauthorised persons
Improper repair work and modifications to the product may lead to serious injuries and damage to the
device. The product warranty will be rendered invalid if work is carried out on it by unauthorised
persons.
• Operating, maintenance, cleaning, fault and repair work may only be carried out by qualified
personnel (in Germany see TRBS 1203).
CAUTION
• Before performing any maintenance and cleaning work, suitable safety measures must be taken.
• Maintenance and cleaning work on the fume extraction system may only be carried out in areas with
locally filtered forced ventilation.
• Always wear your personal protective equipment when performing maintenance and cleaning work.
• The personal protective equipment includes protective clothing, safety goggles, respirator mask
Class P3, protective gloves and safety shoes.
NOTICE
• Please also consult the operating instructions for the welding components, such as the power source,
welding torch system, re-circulating cooling unit etc.
Fault Cause Troubleshooting
Fume extraction system is not ready
for operation • Control system or component defective • Check and replace if necessary
• Turbine defective • Check and replace if necessary
• Carbon brushes defective • Check and replace if necessary
• System cannot be switched on • Switch off the power to the system
Check voltage circuit breaker and replace if
necessary
Suction too weak,
manometer indicator is near the red
point • Suction hose clogged • Check the straightness of the suction hose and
change it if necessary
• Check suction hose for damage and clogging
• Hold the hose vertically and use a rubber
hammer to clean it
• Filter cartridge soiled • Dedust the filter


Despite dedusting of the filter:
manometer indicator remains near
the red mark • Filter pores are clogged • Replace the filter cartridge

