7 Operation
FES-200 W3
Mounting the current clamp:

Connect the connector to the FES-200 W3.

Put the current clamp
around the cable assembly of the welding fume extraction torch.

Turn the rotary switch
to the Auto position.
The FES-200 W3 starts automatically when the welding process is started.

Switch on the fume extraction system by turning the rotary switch
.
• I = permanent operation
• 0 = off
• Auto = current clamp is active (fume extraction system runs only during the welding process, and keeps
running for the set time of approx. 1 minute).
6.3 Establishing the electrical connection
Mains cable and mains plug are pre-mounted. For the mains voltage and the fuse protection, please refer to:

Plug in mains plug.

Plug the mains plug into the socket.
NOTICE
• Switch on the automatic function to increase the service life of the fume extraction system.
• When an increased smoke concentration is detected in the working area:
• Stop the welding process.
• A function check is required before putting into operation.
WARNING
Electric shock
Dangerous voltage due to defective cables.
• Check all live cables and connections for proper installation and damage.
• Replace any damaged, deformed or worn parts.
WARNING
Health risk caused by harmful dust
Before and during operation, please observe the following:
• The fume extraction system must not be operated with open dust collecting drawer.
• During operation and fume extraction, the complete fume extraction system must be kept closed.
• After having switched off the fume extraction system, wait at least one minute before opening the
cover of the dust collecting drawer.
NOTICE
• Use the fume extraction system FES-200 W3 only in areas with sufficient ventilation.
• After each use, the dust collecting drawer must be checked.
• In case of a filling level of 2/3 or more, the dust collecting drawer must be emptied according to the
regulations.
