9.1 Maintenance intervals
When using arc welding equipment, always observe the provisions of EN 60974-4 Inspection and testing, as well as any
national laws and regulations.
Check the following:
9.2 Replacing the DAV cutter
The cutter has a service life of approx. 20,000 cuts. This is an approximate value that was determined during a test setup
with a 1.0 mm steel wire (type SG 2). Deviations are possible if other wire electrodes are used.
The cutter’s service life depends on the filler materials used:


1 Carefully unscrew the cover (3) with lubricating nipple (4) .
2 Unscrew and replace the cutter (6) .
3 Check the fixed jaws (7) for wear; reverse or replace if necessary.
4 Screw the cover (3) back on again.
10 Troubleshooting
Observe the attached “Warranty” document. In the event of any questions and/or problems, please contact your retailer or
the manufacturer.
NOTICE
• The specified maintenance intervals are standard values and refer to single-shift operation.
Weekly Monthly
• Check the condition of the reamer. • Monthly basic cleaning is recommended, and
necessary in case of extreme working conditions.
• Clean the clamping unit or the reamer. • Check the upstream maintenance unit's oil level and
ability to function correctly.
• Clean the DAV wire cutter.
• Grease the DAV cutter guide after approx. 20,000 cuts.
• Empty the wire scraps from the dirt collecting tray.
