• G350: Screw in the gauging sleeve (2) in the position of the contact tip.
• G360 and G500: Screw in the appropriate adaptors (9) , (10) in place of the tip adaptor.
Next, screw the appropriate gauging sleeve (8) , (7) into the applicable
adaptor (9) , (10) .
Now place on the appropriate setting sleeve (11) , (12) in place of the gas nozzle.
6 Operation
6.1 Quick inspection
1 Remove the neck liner and the wire guide.
2 Fasten the torch into the clamping body.
3 Push the test mandrel (1) up to the contact tip (2) .
The bending angle is correct if the tip of the test mandrel (1) and the contact tip (2) are centred.
6.1.1 Checking the alignment
1 Unscrew or pull out the gas nozzle and remove other torch-specific equipment parts.
2 Screw in the gauging sleeve (2) at the position of the contact tip.
The bending angle is correct if the test mandrel (1) fits easily into the bore of the gauging sleeve (2) .
NOTICE
Before using the torch in the alignment jig, check:
• whether the correct interface and the corresponding torch are inserted.
• whether the dust and weld spatter have been removed. This can cause wear and reduce test
accuracy.
