A hose blockage
A broken pump
The float switch is mechanically bound
If the float switch stays upwards for over 60 seconds. These could be the causes
Condensate Pump
1. Unplug the dehumidifier
2. Remove the housing at the top
3. Remove the wires from the harness
4. Pull out the condensate hose and the screw that attaches the bracket of the pump
to the lower housing.
5. Reverse the above steps to replace your pump hose, wiring, the bolts, and the casing
This is inside the humidifier unit. It removes water collected in the reservoir
If you wish to replace the condensate pump
FloatSwitch
1. Unplug the unit from the power source
2. Remove the housing at the top
3. Disconnect the float switch cables from their harness
4. Remove the screw that ties the bracket of the pump to the housing at the bottom
5. Remove the float switch from the bracket by unscrewing
The pump is activated by the float safety switch when the water level in the condensate
pump has risen too high. The switch is also responsible for turning the compressor off
until the point when the level of water has reduced and disengages the float switch.
