the hazardous area.
Special conditions
• Permissible for the ‘Natural gas version’ only:
– The positioner TZIDC-110 may be operated as a power
supply only with gases of Group IIA and temperature class
T1 outdoors or inside of buildings with sufficient
ventilation.
– The supplied gas must be free of air and oxygen to
prevent the forming of a hazardous atmosphere.
– Exhaust gas must always be discharged outside.
• The equipment may only be used as a II 2D type device
TZIDC-110 in areas where the level of mechanical danger is
"low".
• For TZIDC-110 electrostatic charging caused by propagating
brush discharge should be prevented when the device is used
for applications involving combustible dust.
• For devices that are operated in an intrinsically safe manner,
cable and wire entries should be used that meet the
requirements of EN 60079-11 for Category II 2G as well as the
ambient temperature range.
• The ‘local communication interface’ (LCI) of the TZIDC-110
may only be operated at U
