Turbine-end, non-rotating parts
WARNING
Handling operating materials and supplies
Swallowing or inhaling vapours of operating materials and supplies or
contact with them may be harmful to health.

Do not breathe in these substances and avoid contact with the skin.
u
Ensure proper ventilation.
u
Observe the information in the material safety data sheet for the op-
erating materials and supplies.
u
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) according to the material
safety data sheet.
u
Comply with local legislation.
Wear safety goggles.
Wear safety gloves to protect against chemical hazards.
Wear a respiratory mask to protect against gases.
CAUTION
Damage to coated nozzle rings
The coating of coated nozzle rings can be damaged if cleaned improp-
erly.
u
Only insert the nozzle ring in water.
u
Only clean the nozzle ring with soft brushes.
u
Do not sandblast the nozzle ring.
Baked-on layers of contamination, for example from heavy fuel oil or
coked oil, occur at the turbine end. The following performance-relevant
parts can be cleaned according to the following description.

63000 Turbine diffuser

Place contaminated parts in hot water or in a liquid such as brake
cleaner, so that the contamination softens.
u
Brush off the contamination or remove it with a steam cleaner.
