2 Initial Installation
2.1 General
The differential pressure generated by the Torbar exits at the
high- and low-pressure connections on the head of the device.
The connections are identified by the letters L (low pressure) and
H (high pressure).
The direction of flow is indicated by the small indentations on the
head – see Fig. 2.1. The indentations must be positioned on the
downstream side of the flow and are clearly visible from various
directions and distances. Exceptions to this are Models
FPD350.T1.T1/W1/F1 and FPD350.T5, and Direct Mount Head
options.
In addition, an arrow is stamped on the head of all Torbar
models to indicate direction of flow.
To prevent noisy signal outputs, do not install Torbar in a
pulsating flow. Vibration also distorts the output signal and
affects the structural limits of Torbar.
