10. Attach the drive module lifting lugs to the cabinet lifting lug with chains.
11. Pull the drive module carefully out of the cabinet preferably with help from another
person.
12. Install the new module in reverse order.
Capacitors
The drive intermediate circuit employs several electrolytic capacitors. Their lifespan
depends on the operating time of the drive, loading and ambient temperature. Capacitor
life can be prolonged by lowering the ambient temperature.
Capacitor failure is often unpredicable.It is usually followed by damage to the unit and an
input cable fuse failure, or a fault trip. Contact ABB if capacitor failure is suspected.
Replacements are available from ABB. Do not use other than ABB specified spare parts.
Reforming the capacitors
Reform the capacitors if the drive has not been powered for a year or more. See page
