Grass Catcher
Attach the grass catcher when using the mower for grass collection
(SET UP 3, Fig 5).
Emptying
Empty the grass catcher (22) frequently during use. Do not wait until it is
completely full. We recommend emptying it when it is half full.
NOTE: A full grass catcher will reduce the performance of this product.
1. Lift the rear deflector guard (21) and pull the grass catcher (22) off the
rods to remove it.
2. Empty the grass clippings onto a compost heap.
3. Re-fit the grass catcher (22) to the product.
WARNING! Do not attempt to use the mower without the grass
catcher attached when collecting grass – danger of flying objects!
Switch the engine OFF and wait until the blade has come to a
stop before removing the grass catcher!
Mulching
Use the insert (29) when using the mower for mulching.
1. Open the rear deflector guard (21), hold it in position and insert the
mulching insert (29) into the rear discharge chute (28) (Fig. 11). Ensure
the lower side of the handle snaps in place.
2. Press the lower side of the handle (29a) to release and remove the
mulching insert (29) (Fig. 12).
NOTE: Mulching means cutting and returning the grass clippings to the lawn.
