6.3 Retighten the chain
If you notice a hammering of the chain while using the vertical lift, you need
to retighten the chain.
At first, take off the vertical lift. Take an Allen key (size 6) and tighten the
screws counter-clockwise on top of the housing

. Afterwards the chain
should show sufficient tension.
6.4 Cleaning
Please clean the parts of the vertical lift with a mild household cleaner.

Due to safety reasons, please do not use a high-pressure cleaner!

For cleaning always use a slightly moist cloth to keep water from get-
ting into the vertical lift.
6.5 Recycling
Your vertical lift and its lead batteries are products of long durability. Once
their life-span is exhausted, you can turn in the components to AAT Alber
Antriebstechnik GmbH for recycling.
The law for electronics (ElektroG) handling the taking back and recycling of
old electrical and electronic devices has come into effect March 3
rd , 2005.
According to the ministry for environmental issues ( German BDU ) the verti-
cal lift is considered a means of transportation and thus the law for electro-
nics (ElektroG) §2 sentence 1 does not apply (reference to the guideline of
the European Government 2002/96/EG).
