Configuring the Play A Ring Splash Setting Using the Aastra Web UI
Use the following procedure in the Aastra Web UI to configure the Play a Ring Splash
setting:
Enabling/Disabling BLF In-Call Ring Splash Support Using the Configuration Files
Use the following parameter to enable/disable the ring tone via speaker during active calls
feature:
1.
Click on
Basic Settings ->Preferences ->Directed Call Pickup Settings
2.
Using the
Play a Ring Splash
drop-down menu, select the preferred setting. Options include:

Disabled
•
Enabled
•
Enabled also in call
3.
Click
Save Settings
to save your changes.
Note:
This global setting is not dynamic. Changes to this setting will take effect only after the
phone has been rebooted.

Description
Enables or disables the playing of a short ring splash when there is an
incoming call on a BLF-monitored extension.

1 (Enabled for idle state only)
2 (Enabled for idle state and active call state)
Notes:
•
This global parameter is not dynamic. Changes to this parameter
will take effect only after the phone has been rebooted.
•
Playing a BLF ring splash while in an active call state (i.e. defining the
parameter as “2”) is only available to the 6735i, 6737i, 6865i, and
6867i IP phones.
