Maximizing Money Count Performance
Environment
:
The MC-2000 is calibrated & ready for use when unpacked. Always follow
the instructions in “Getting Started” Section on page 2.
Money Count Accuracy
Silver Coins: nickels, dimes & quarters (loose or rolls) are no problem in any environment.
Pennies: difficult to guarantee because average piece weights vary greatly. Our tests suggest
that you will typically be within 2 cents per 100. Penny Roll accuracy is no problem.
Paper Currency: $1s & $5s are the most difficult because they tend to circulate more fre-
quently, getting the most wear. Also,
all
bills will absorb moisture from humidity or steam,
which adds weight that
may
reduce counting accuracy. The Factory setting of F10 restricts
placing more than 40 bills on the scale at one time to overcome the inconsistent weights of
paper money, hence maximizing accuracy. This value of 40 can be altered to your personal
environment or completely disabled. In ideal environments, it is not uncommon for the MC-
2000 to accurately count 100s of bills when placed on the scale all at once. Although operating
speed is slightly increased, risk of innaccurate count is also increased.
