Chapter 3 Award BIOS Setup

3.9.4 PM Control by APM

If advanced power management is installed on your system,
selecting Yes gives better power savings.

The choices: Yes(Default), No

3.9.5 Video Off Option

Select the power saving modes during which the monitor goes
blank.

The Choices:

Always on

Monitor remains on during power saving
modes.

Suspend--Off

Monitor blanked when system enters

(Default)

suspension mode.

All Modes--Off

Monitor blanked when system enters
any power saving mode.

3.9.6 Video Off Method

This determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked.

The Choices:

V/H SYNC + Blank(Default)

This Selection will cause the system to turn off the vertical and
horizontal synchronization ports and write blanks to the video
buffer

Blanck Screen

This option only writes blanks to the video buffer

DPMS

Initial display power management signaling
