For lithium-based primary and secondary batteries as well as other high performance batteries
Only dispose of completely discharged batteries. If a battery is not completely discharged, precautions must be
taken to prevent short circuiting its terminals, e.g. isolation of the terminals.
Notice about transporting products containing lithium batteries The battery has been built and tested
according to the current UN manual 38.3. Effective protection against over-pressure, short-circuit, forceful
breakage and reverse current are provided. Refer to the operating instructions for battery data. If no specific safety
information is provided this means the quantity of lithium and energy level are below the currently applicable
limits. In this case the battery, neither on its own nor installed in the device, is subject to international hazardous
materials regulations. The transport of multiple batteries could be relevant for hazardous materials regulations,
please observe the special conditions (e.g. packaging).
