Tray Splicing with Ribbon in the 3M
™
Fiber Optic Splice Tray 2540
13.10 Start with the lowest tray, route fibers needed
for splicing to the splice tray. Open hinged
door on tray entryway and slide ribbon into
foam slot or place ribbon in a strip of tubing
and then re-close the hinge door. Complete
splicing before adding the next tray.
Re-close door.
13.11 To finish, thread a tie wrap through the corners
of each tray and secure to tray basket.

13.12 Ensure both the dome seal area and base
O-ring is free of dirt or any damage. If needed,
clean area and apply a light film of supplied
silicone lubricant. Failure to maintain a clean
seal area may lead to leakage.

13.13 Clean and lubricate O-ring.
13.14 Replace dome and engage latch over dome ear
as shown.
