General
The 3M
™
4220CUE-6000 Cabinet is a special 6000 pair capacity, single-sided cross-connect cabinet
(94” W x 18” D x 60” H) that mounts directly to the outside wall of a Concrete Universal Enclosure
(CUE). It provides the interface between the electronic equipment in the CUE and the OSP
field/distribution cables. This cabinet uses the 3M
™
4320 Self-Strip Termination Blocks and is designed to
hold up to 12 panels of 500 pairs each. The cabinet is also the entry point for the fiber optic cables into the
CUE.
The CUE arrives on site with 2000 derived pairs (electronic equipment cables) terminated in 4005 CBM
Modules or 710 SC Connectors located behind the center “drop-down” frame. The Derived Pairs will be
assigned by local engineering and spliced by the construction field forces.
The Talk Block on the left hand side of the cabinet will be bridged with the CUE maintenance line.
