Plug-and-Play Support for
Windows 95
When you work in the Windows 95 environ-
ment, adapter configuration is effortless
with a 3Com adapter that supports
Windows 95 and its plug-and-play* feature.
Installation is as simple as plugging in
your 3Com adapter; Windows 95 auto-
matically detects and configures the card.
The computer and Windows 95 seam-
lessly adjust to the new configuration with-
out your having to set IRQs or I/O port
addresses.
What’s more, when you install an
EtherLink III PC Card or TokenLink III 16/4
PC Card, you can install and remove it
while your computer is powered on, “hot
swapping” your adapter. Immediately
after you insert the adapter, Windows 95
recognizes its type, capabilities, and
requirements, then loads the appropriate
plug-and-play–compliant driver—without
requiring you to restart the system.

AutoLink Software for NetWare
When you work with DOS/Windows 3.x
clients in a NetWare server environment,
3Com AutoLink software automatically
configures your adapter.
Even better, AutoLink software ships free
with 3Com Fast EtherLink, EtherLink III,
TokenLink III, and TokenLink Velocity
adapters.** With AutoLink, you can com-
plete adapter configuration and install
NetWare client files in about three min-
utes for NetWare clients running
DOS/Windows 3.1. AutoLink works with
or without a network present. If a
NetWare server can be found, AutoLink
looks for a custom or updated configura-
tion to install to the client. If no server is
present, AutoLink quickly installs Novell’s
Universal (VLM) client right from the
3Com diskette.
AutoLink provides time-saving, worry-free
auto-installation and auto-configuration,
so that even a nontechnical person can
