Cable or DSL Modem Connected to the Gateway
1 Insert one end of an Ethernet (RJ-45 Category 5) cable into the
Cable/DSL port on the rear panel of the gateway.
2 Insert the other end of the cable into the RJ-45 port on your cable
or DSL modem
This port would normally be used to make an Ethernet connection to
your computer or home network. Refer to the manuals that came with
your modem for more details.
3 Connect the cable or DSL modem to the Internet.
Connect the modem to the cable or DSL connector. Refer to the
documentation that came with your modem for more details.
4 Proceed to “Connecting the Wireless Gateway to Your Network”.
Connecting the Wireless Gateway to Your Network
The next step for setting up your gateway is to configure one or more
computers for connection to your gateway through wireless or wired
(Ethernet) connections.
