ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES

If this thermometer does not function properly

for any reason, replace the battery with a

new high quality battery (see the “Battery

Replacement” section).  Low battery power

can occasionally cause any number of “ap-

parent” operational difficulties. Replacing the

battery with a new fresh battery will solve

most difficulties.

recorded reading.

minimum record reading.

display to current reading.

the memory reading to current reading.

new maximum or minimum reading.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display

are all indicators that the battery must be

replaced.  To replace the battery, loosen the

two screws at the rear of the case.  Remove

the face of the thermometer taking care not

to disconnect the internal wiring.  Replace

exhausted battery with a new 1.5-volt, silver

oxide, 389 size battery.  Make certain positive

(+) side is visible.  Replace the face of the unit

and tighten the screws.  Do not over-tighten

the screws as this may damage the unit.

NOTE:  When replacing the face of the unit, care-

fully ensure the back is properly in place and the

screws are tightened securely to maintain the unit’s

water-resistance.
