DELUXE
PROGRAMMABLE
THERMOSTAT

ADDENDUM

This product is capable of up to 3 Heat / 2 Cool staging

in heat pump mode.

A. The Operational Mode Chart below supersedes the chart in the Quick Start Installation Manual:

1. 2nd and 3rd stages are used for heating only when the outdoor temperature is between the two balance points.
2. Standard and Add-On apply when the 2nd stage is on.  Y1 is on for Standard.  Y1 is not available for Add-On.
3. When no sensor is present, the thermostat behaves as if the outdoor temperature is always between the balance points.
4. Heat Pump Only applies to the 9725i2 when it is configured as Heat Pump in both 1st and 2nd stage.

B. Information on 3rd stage configuration settings given below is an addition to the comfort settings printed on page 15 of the

User’s Manual:

3rd Stage Differential

is the number of degrees away from 2nd stage activation that the thermostat allows before 3rd stage

equipment is activated. (Temperature demand overrides the 3rd Stage Delay.)
This feature is available only on the 9725i2 models with 1st stage heat equipment set to Heat Pump.

3rd Stage Delay

is a timed delay between 5 and 40 minutes.  It is the maximum time 2nd stage equipment tries to satisfy demand

before the third stage equipment is activated.
This feature is available only on the 9725i2 models with 1st stage heat equipment set to Heat Pump.

C. Information on 3rd stage setup given below is an addition to the system settings printed on page 19 of the User’s Manual:
