Elementary user’s manual
The chip reader Plus Extra is our best seller model. It is a device with an enormous amount of functionalities. So different
standards can be read. The scanned numbers are automatically stored in internal memory and can be transferred to a PC.
The device is equipped with USB and Bluetooth interfaces which allows to connect the device via the provided USB cable or
wirelessly. You can charge the powerful Lithium-Ion battery easily on a USB interface. Please note the remarkable reading
distance of up to 8 cm.

Configuring the reader
After switching on the reader by pressing the On/Off button (2), you will see the message “Read” with an arrow above it.
Press button 7 to display the “Language” menu. The reader is initially configured to operate in English.
To change the language, press button 9 and scroll down the languages until the one you wish to use (for example English) is
displayed. You must then validate your choice (button 8).
The following message is displayed for 4 seconds:
English
Ok
and then the reader displays:
Languages available: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Polish.
Scanning a transponder
Turn on the device by pressing button 2. The display shows:
SCAN
with an arrow above it.
Press the button (8) to activate chip search for 20 seconds:
Reading
The operator must hold the reader close to the place where the chip is assumed to be, scanning over the area slowly.
