Bitte lesen Sie die vorliegende Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch. Bei
Fragen wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Fachhandel von dem Sie dieses
Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um eine Schultergelenkorthese zur
Immobilisierung des Schultergelenkes in definierter Position.
Indikationen
Präoperativ, postoperativ, posttraumatisch, z. B. bei Distorsion, Luxation,
subcapitale Humerusfraktur, Scapulafraktur, Rotatorenmanschettenverletzung
Kontraindikationen
Lymphabflussstörungen auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern
des angelegten Hilfsmittels, Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen
der versorgten Körperregion, Erkrankungen der Haut im versorgten
Körperabschnitt
Anwendungsrisiken / Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Wurde das Tragen bei Nacht angeordnet, Beeinträchtigungen des
Blutkreislaufs vermeiden.
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung eines Patienten
bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Orthese: keine lokale Anwendung von Cremes
oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material
zerstören
Anziehanleitung

Der Unterarm wird bei einem Winkel von 90° im Ellenbogengelenk in
die breite Unterarmauflage gelegt. Nun wird Gurt 1 auf dem Handrücken
geschlossen, wodurch individuell die Mittelhandbreite eingestellt werden
kann.
Wichtig!
Der weiterführende Gurt 4 liegt dabei bauchseitig auf der
Handinnenfläche.

Der Gurt 2 wird nun auf die Breite des Ellenbogens eingestellt und kann
nach Bedarf mit einer Schere gekürzt werden.

Der Gurt 3 wird vom angenähten Ursprung des Gurtes über die Schulter
gelegt und über den Nacken zur gegenüberliegenden Schulter geführt.
Anschließend führen Sie den Gurt 3 unter der Unterarmauflage bauchseitig
in Höhe des Handgelenks herum und kletten ihn am Selbigen wieder an. Mit
diesem Gurt wird das Gewicht auf die Schulter verteilt und die 90° Stellung
gehalten.

Der Gurt 4 verläuft vom Ursprung der Handinnenfläche zirkulär um die
Taille und wird bauchseitig um den betroffenen Arm herumgeführt und
auf dem selbigen Gurt aufgeklettet.

Ablegen
Zum Ablegen der OmoBasic nach Gilchrist Orthese alle Klettverschlüsse in
umgekehrter Reihenfolge öffnen, dann Orthese ablegen.

Reinigungshinweise

Nicht bügeln
Klettverschluss schließen, um die Beschädigung anderer Wäschestücke zu
vermeiden.
Keinen Weichspüler verwenden. In Form ziehen und an der Luft trocknen.
Gewährleistung
Für das erworbene Produkt gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des
Landes, in dem Sie das Produkt bezogen haben. Bitte wenden Sie sich
an Ihren Fachhandel, sollten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall vermuten.
Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie
eigenmächtig vorgenommenen Änderungen am Produkt.
Nutzungsdauer / Lebensdauer des Produkts
Die Lebensdauer des Medizinprodukts wird durch den natürlichen Verschleiß
bei sach- und anwendungsgemäßem Umgang bestimmt.
Meldepflicht
Kommt es bei der Anwendung des Medizinproduktes zu einer
schwerwiegenden Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes, dann
melden Sie dies Ihrem Fachhändler oder uns als Hersteller sowie dem BfArM
(Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte).

Please read the existing instructions for use carefully. If you have any
questions, please refer to your physician or the specialist retailer from whom
you purchased this medical device.
Intended purpose
This medical device is a shoulder joint brace for immobilisation of the
shoulder joint in a defined position.
Indications
Pre-operative, post-operative, post-traumatic, e.g. in case of distortion,
luxation, subcapital humerus fracture, rotator cuff injury, scapula fracture.
Contraindications
Lymph drainage disorders, also unclear soft tissue swellings distal to the
aid positioned, sensory and circulatory disorders with the region of the body
treated, skin diseases in the part of the body treated.
Application risks/Important notes
This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received
the medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding
its use.
– if wearing at night is prescribed, avoid negative influence on the circulatory
system
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your
physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient
– whilst wearing the brace, please neither use any creams nor ointments on
or around it as they can destroy the material.
Fitting instructions

The lower arm is angled at 90° in the elbow joint and placed in the
wide lower arm support. Then, belt 1 is closed on the back of the hand,
enabling the individual setting of the metacarpus width.
Important!
The
further-reaching belt 4 here is placed on the ventral side on the palm.

Belt 2 is then set to the elbow width and can be shortened using a pair of
scissors if required.

Belt 3 is laid over the shoulder from the sewed-on belt origin and guided
to the opposite shoulder over the neck. Then, guide belt 3 beneath the
lower arm support on the stomach side at wrist level and re-attach it to the
wrist using Velcro. This belt distributes the weight on the shoulders and
retains the 90° position.

Belt 4 runs from the origin of the palm circumferentially around the waist
and is guided ventrally around the arm affected and attached to the same
belt using Velcro.

Tip:

Removal
To remove the OmoBasic acc. to Gilchrist brace, open all the Velcro fastenings
in the reverse order and then remove the brace.

Cleaning information

Close the Velcro fastening to avoid damage to other laundry items.
Do not use fabric conditioner. Stretch back into shape and dry in the fresh air.
Guarantee
The legal regulations of the country in which you acquired the product apply
to the purchased product. Please contact your specialist retailer if you suspect
a warranty claim. Please clean the product before submitting a warranty
claim. If the enclosed instructions for use have not been properly observed,
the warranty may be impaired or cancelled. The warranty does not cover use
of the product inappropriate for the indication, non-observance of application
risks, instructions and unauthorised modifications to the product.
Useful life/Lifetime of the product
The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.
Duty of notification
If a serious worsening of the state of health occurs when using the medical
device, you are obliged to notify the specialist dealer or us as the manufacturer
and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Disposal
Upon the termination of use, the product must be disposed of in accordance
