Place one-inch object (or 2x4 laid flat) on floor.

 

If door fails to reverse on contact, adjust opener.

 

If opener still fails to reverse door, repair or replace opener.

after 1993 that use photoelectric sensors located near the 

bottom of the door track that do not change the state of those 

photoelectric sensors to a low power mode.
