Mount 

Relay 

so the metal (magnetic) back makes good contact with a 

metal surface within an enclosure, such as the rectifier. This will help 

dissipate any heat generated and allow it operate up to its highest 

rated current.

If the enclosure is non-metal, mount the 

Relay 

onto a surface within the 

enclosure with bolts through the two available mounting holes.

  Remove backing from the Warning label and adhere sticker to a surface 

close to the 

Relay

.

IMPORTANT:

 

 Refer to the technical specifications on the back of this guide for more information about the solid 

state relays.

IMPORTANT:

 

 For the 

REL2310 

- do not install the input Power lines onto a tap that is being used by the  Interruption 

lines.

WARNING:

 

If wires are to be buried or covered, use conduit to protect the wires.

Ensure all wiring is secure and 

free from contact with any 

objects.

Installing the Equipment

WARNING

:

 

To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage when handling electronic equipment, always wear an 

anti-static wrist strap attached to an unpainted, grounded metal object. Ensure the wrist strap has maximum contact 

with bare skin.

Use the wiring diagrams as 

reference when connecting the 

Relay 

to an RMU, the source 

that will be interrupted, and/or 

power.

 

WARNING

:

 

Before beginning any wiring, disconnect all equipment 

from hazardous voltages.

REL2310

 Solid State Relay must be installed using line power. The 

REL2310B

 Solid State Relay includes a battery, and 

connection to a line power is optional.

WARNING

Read and following warning label attached to the 

Relay

. Label can 

be adhered to a surface close to the 

Relay 

for future reference.
