The WAP3205 v3 can get the DNS server addresses in the following ways.
1
The ISP tells you the DNS server addresses, usually in the form of an information sheet, when you sign up.
If your ISP gives you DNS server addresses, enter them in the
DNS Server
fields in the
Wizard
and/or
WAN
> Internet Connection
screen.
2
If the ISP did not give you DNS server information, leave the
DNS Server
fields set to
0.0.0.0
in the
Wizard
screen and/or set to
From ISP
in the
WAN
> Internet Connection
screen for the ISP to dynamically assign
the DNS server IP addresses.
7.2.3 IP Pool Setup
The WAP3205 v3 is pre-configured with a pool of 32 IP addresses starting from 192.168.1.33 to
192.168.1.64. This configuration leaves 31 IP addresses (excluding the WAP3205 v3 itself) in the lower
range (192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.32) for other server computers, for instance, servers for mail, FTP, TFTP,
web, etc., that you may have.
7.2.4 LAN TCP/IP
The WAP3205 v3 has built-in DHCP server capability that assigns IP addresses and DNS servers to systems
that support DHCP client capability.
