Hardware Installation and Connections
This chapter shows you how to install the Prestige in your computer.
2.1 Hardware
Installation
Follow the steps below to install the Prestige in your computer.
Step 1.
Save your work and close all applications.
Step 2.
Turn off the computer and peripheral devices, such as the printer. Then disconnect the computer
power cord from the power source.
Step 3.
Ground yourself by wearing an anti-static wrist strap or touching a metal object.
Step 4.
Remove the computer cover and a blank slot cover.
Step 5.
Insert the Prestige into an avaliable PCI slot. Make sure that the Prestige’s contacts are fully
seated in the slot.
Step 6.
Secure the Prestige to the computer with a bracket screw.
