5 Console Program/Network Management
The switch has an RS-232 console port for local management. The following table
and diagram show the RS-232 pin definitions.

After you make the connection, you can a terminal emulation program to start a
management session. The main screen of console will show the following six
items:

To connect a terminal directly to the switch, use a standard RS-232 serial cable.
Connect the male end of the RS-232 cable to the console port and the female end
to a COM port on the computer.

password, etc.

Management
This item is used to enable/disable and to show the status of each network port.
