Power Connections 6-1
This chapter shows you how to connect the IES-2500 main chassis to a power source.
6.1 Power Connections Overview
Use the following procedures to connect the IES-2500 to a power source after you have installed the main and
splitter chassis in a rack.
Refer to the section on power consumption in the hardware specifications in the appendices and
make sure you are using an appropriate power source.
Keep the IES-2500 power switch in the OFF position until you come to procedure for turning on the power.
6.2 Power Connections
The IES-2500 power connection and power switch are on the back panel of the main chassis. Use only the power
cable that came with your IES-2500.
6.2.1 Procedure to Connect and Turn on the Power
Step 1.
To connect the power to the unit, connect the female end of the supplied power cord to the power
receptacle on the back panel.
Step 2.
Connect the other end of the power cord to a power outlet.
Step 3.
Move the power switch to the ON position.
