5 Assistance in the event of a fault
5.1 Resolving faults yourself
Fault Possible cause(s) Possible solution(s)
The appliance is
not operational. You are not actu-
ating any speed
button. Press speed button [L] or [H] continu-
ously during operation,
see 4.2 “Oper-
ating the hand blender”.
The power supply is
interrupted. Plug the power plug firmly into the
socket.
The blades are
jamming. There are too many
ingredients in the
working container. Take a portion of the ingredients out
of the working container.
The ingredients in
the working contain-
er are too big or too
hard. Only put small (approx. 1.5 cm) and
soft ingredient pieces in the working
container.
One ingredient is
sticking to the blade. Unplug the power plug, remove
the food that is stuck and clean the
blades,
see 4.4 “Cleaning the hand
blender”.
The appliance
gets hot during
operation and
develops an un-
pleasant odour. The appliance’s
recommended
operating time (30
seconds) has been
exceeded.

Switch off the appliance and unplug
the power plug from the socket.

Let the appliance cool down com-
pletely prior to switching it back on.
ƒ
Reduce the quantity of food to be
processed before you switch the
appliance back on.
There are too many
ingredients in the
working container. Take a portion of the ingredients out
of the working container.
The ingredients in
the working contain-
er are too big or too
hard. Only put small (approx. 1.5 cm) and
soft ingredient pieces in the working
container.
The temperature of
the food is too high. Let the food cool down to under 60 °C.
