Switch the saw off immediately if the blade
jams or gets stuck in the item being cut. If
the blade gets stuck, it can cause the item
to violently kick back towards the user.
Never stand directly behind the saw blade
when sawing.
Never pull the item backwards while the
saw is running. Instead, turn the saw off
using the off button and allow the blade to
stop completely before removing the item.
Overload protection
If the saw is overloaded, the protection
will trip and the power supply will be
interrupted to protect the motor.
Deal with the reason for the overload and
allow the saw to cool for a few minutes.
Press the overload contact (15) and then
press the on button to restart the saw.
Replacing saw blades
Unscrew the blade lock and raise the saw
blade fully.
Remove the blade guard. Remove the insert
from the bench using a screwdriver.
Remove the cleaver blade.
Hold the axle securely using a spanner (28)
and loosen the lock nut on the axle with the
other spanner by turning it anticlockwise
(right thread). Remove the lock nut and saw
blade.
Place a new blade on the axle and secure it
using the locking nut.
Check that the direction specified on the
blade matches the direction of rotation of
the motor.
Secure the saw blade using the spanners.
Replace and adjust the cleaver blade and
replace the bench insert and blade guard.
Switch the saw on and allow it to run
freely for one minute to check that it is
functioning correctly.
