Driver Installation
A.
Installation Procedure for Win 98 / 98se
1. Do
NOT
plug in the
Cool Disk 2.0 V2
.
2. Insert CD driver disc and run “X:\cooldisk20v2\win98\Setup.exe”. (Letter “X”
refers to the CDROM drive location.)
3. Click “Start” button.
4. Plug in
Cool Disk 2.0 V2
into the computer USB port and Windows will install
the driver automatically.
5. Afterwards, in “MY COMPUTER” you will find new icon(s) “REMOVABLE
DISK”. This is the location of
Cool Disk 2.0 V2.
6. Now, you are able to access all features that provided by
Cool Disk 2.0 V2

B.
Installation Procedure for Win Me / Win 2000 / Win XP
There is
Cool Disk 2.0 V2
driver support in Win Me / Win 2000 / Win XP. After you
plug in
Cool Disk 2.0 V2
Windows will automatically install the driver. Just follow
the simple installation procedure, and finally, in “MY COMPUTER” you will find a
new icon(s) “REMOVABLE DISK”.
Now, you are able to access all features that provided by
Cool Disk 2.0 V2
.

** To “Uninstall”

, plug off from the USB port.

Write-Protect Switch (for Security partition)
1.
When you push the switch at the “unlock” position and plug it into the computer,
the
Cool Disk 2.0 V2
is configured as two removable drives (public partition and
security partition)
*** For Windows 2000, you need to install service pack 3 to recognize both disks.

When you push the switch at the “lock” position and plug it into the computer, the
Cool Disk 2.0 V2
is configured as single removable drive (public partition). The
security partition is hidden and it cannot be accessed until you push back the
switch at the “unlock” position and re-plug it again into the computer.
