1.0 Physical Inspection
Use this procedure to ensure that the unit shows no signs of damage or excessive wear.
Tools Needed
None.
Test Setup

Test Procedure
Observe the following:

Are all signs of wear reasonable and not excessive?

Are the front panel and housing undamaged and free of cracks?

Are input connectors clean and undamaged?

Are electrodes preconnected, is the cable free from damage, are the pads
sealed within the packaging, and are the electrodes within the expiration
date shown on the package?

Is the battery older than 18 months? When was the last time the battery
was tested?

If you are using an AED Pro 3-lead ECG cable, is it free from cuts or other
visible damage?
