5.4 Failure
In case of overheating of the heater, the thermostat of positive safety comes to cut the supply of the
heating electric resistance. To settle these defects press on the small crosspiece of the thermostat of
safety.
(1) immediately switch off the heater using the “on/off” switch.
5.5 Winter storage
•
switch off the appliance
•
switch off the power supply (by disengaging of the 30 mA differential circuit breaker at the head of
the heater line),
•
drain the pool circuit by removing both connection union fittings in order to avoid the
risk of
freezing
.
The guarantee will be cancelled in event of frost of the appliance due to an improper
winter storage.
5.6 Restart
•
refer to the procedures described in paragraphs
5.1, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.7
.
5.7 Maintenance
To be done once a year by an approved and qualified person:
•
visual check of the condition of the various electrical components,
•
retighten cables and supply terminal board shunts and the switch,
•
Check the state of titanium electric resistance:
- if it's scaled, make a chemical cleaning while plunging it in a 10% acid solution,
- if it's damaged (bluish or deformation), replace it.
6. PRECAUTIONS
WARNING!
Make sure the appliance is disconnected from mains supply before any intervention. Any
intervention shall be qualified and authorised personnel only.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
TROUBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
Orange light
doesn’t switch
on anymore
1) circuit breaker is off
2) “on/off” switch is off
3) thermostat is not on demand
4) pool water doesn’t cross the heater
5) filter is clogged (water flow rate
insufficient)
6) filtration pump is drained
7) high limit thermostat is released
1) switch on circuit breaker
2) switch on
3) increase setting of required temperature
4) run the filtration pump
5) backwash the filter
6) prime the pump
7) reset high limit thermostat
Caution:
in event of successive releases of high limit
thermostat, make sure flow rate is sufficient and
regular.
Orange light is
flashing
1) flow rate is irregular
2) filter close to be clogged
3) pump is drained
1) check installation and pump
2) backwash the filter
3) prime the pump
The heater
makes trip
electrical
installation
1) The protection circuit breaker is
under dimensioned on the level of its
gauge (in amp),
2) the section in mm ² of the supply
cable is insufficient,
3) the power terminal strip cable and/or
the clamps are badly tightened or badly
connected
4) an earthing of electrical resistance.
1) put a differential circuit breaker good gauged with
respect to the intensity consumed by the appliance
(see table §4.2),
2) put a good cable section adapted to the intensity
consumed by the appliance (see table §4.2),
3) check the electric connections
4) replace electrical resistance (realized by
an
approved person).
