2.2. Sensor and injecti on point installati on
•
There must be at least 60 cm linear between the sensor and the injecti on point. If this is not possible, use
the POD kit available as an opti on or a check valve.
•
Fixture collars (or the POD kit) must be installed on rigid Ø50 PVC pipes. A Ø63 adapter is available as an
opti on.
•
The POD kit is recommended if a pH regulati on module has also been installed.
•
Maximum pressure must not exceed 1.5 bar.
•
Drill a hole with a diameter between 16 and 22 mm on the pipe at the selected locati ons for the ORP sensor
and the injecti on point.
•
Then install the fi xture collars.
•
Use Tefl on tape to make sure the threads on the sensor holder, the injecti on valve and its adapter are
waterti ght.
•
Screw down the one or more sensor holders onto the fi xture collar or a POD kit (opti onal),
see illustra on
.
•
Carefully unscrew the protecti on tube from the sensor,
see illustra on . Retain the protec on tube for
use when the sensor is stored during the winter.
•
Rinse the end of the sensor with tap water and shake off excess water,
see illustra on .
• Never wipe the sensor using a cloth or paper ssue, as this may damage it!
• A badly-installed sensor may give false readings and cause inappropriate opera on of the
appliance. Neither the manufacturer nor the appliance shall be liable in this event.
•
Screw the sensor into the sensor holder, holding the YELLOW connector in one hand and the black connector
in the other to avoid tangling the cable,
see illustra on .
•
Once the sensor is installed, it can be connected to the BNC connector's control box,
see "1.3 I Dimensions
and marking".
