Disabling or enabling the extinguishing event
Note:
When the extinguishing event is disabled (or prevented) the control panel
does not report extinguishing alarms and the extinguishing event will not be
activated. The control panel will continue to report and indicate fire alarms in the
extinguishing area.
To disable the extinguishing event, press the General Disable button, and then
press the Preactivation button, or activate the Disable extinguishing switch event.
The disablement is indicated as follows:
• A steady General Disable LED
• A steady yellow Preactivation LED
To enable the extinguishing event, press the General Disable button, and then
press the Preactivation button again.
If an extinguishing alarm is reported at the same time that the extinguishing event
is enabled, there is a short delay (configurable up to 60 seconds) before the
control panel enters extinguishing released state.
Note:
Some faults or disablements of extinguishing devices can prevent or
disable the extinguishing event. See “Extinguishing event prevented” on page 13
for more details.
Disabling other extinguishing devices
The devices listed in Table 4 can also be disabled at the operator user level.
To disable any of these devices, press the General Disable button for more than
3 seconds, press the 1 and 3 buttons (the Up and Down buttons) to select the
option to be disabled (the corresponding LED flashes), and then press Enter to
confirm the disablement.
The disablement is indicated by:
• A steady General Disable LED
• A steady disabled LED for the corresponding device
To enable a disabled option, press the General Disable button for more than 3
seconds, press the 1 and 3 buttons to select the option to be enabled, and then
press Enter.
