Firmware Upgrade via USB

To upgrade from USB you have to have a USB2 drive supported by the ClearStream
and a copy of either the theme or firmware that you wish to upgrade to.

•

Download the firmware or the theme which you wish to install from the Ziova

website.

•

Extract the firmware or theme files from the ZIP file to your USB drive

•

From the main menu select “Settings”

•

From the Settings menu select “Firmware”

•

Select “Upgrade from USB” as your source

•

Browse your USB drive to the folder where you extracted the files to

•

If upgrading the firmware select the file “xxxspec-1.xml” (xxx – depends on

model number)

•

If upgrading the theme select the XML file for the theme you wish to install.

•

The player will display a message with a list of components that will be

upgraded.

•

If you are happy to continue press “OK” and the player will start the upgrade.

•

Do not turn the player off or press any buttons on the remote while the

upgrade is taking place.

•

Do not remove the USB drive while the firmware upgrade is taking place.

When the upgrade is finished the player will reboot and return to the main menu.
