Shutting Down the Unit
By actuating the button
(see Diagram 5, Page - 12 -), the complete unit (motor with pump)
including the worm conveyor is deactivated. If the suction hose is removed out of the acid
vessel, the same must be deposited carefully in a suited receptacle to prevent contamination of
the strainer.
Take care that any possibly spilt acid does not cause any damage.
The unit also deactivates itself in the event that the floater, respectively the flow rate sinks too
low. This is the case, e.g., the acid vessel is empty, or if one of the nozzles is blocked. In this
case, the connected worm conveyor is also deactivated.

Maintenance and Care
As the acid is very corrosive, a comprehensive maintenance and care for the device is
obligatory.
Attention!
Shortly before shutting down the unit (end of season), the suction hose should be taken
out of the liquid in order to enable a complete discharge of the system.
After the dosing process, the unit should be thoroughly rinsed with water.
After the end of the season, the unit should be rinsed with a water-diluted anti-freeze
agent at a ratio of 1 : 1 (Risk of frost!). The antifreeze agent should be left in the pump
throughout the winter in order to prevent the rubber parts and gaskets from becoming
porous.
Before the start of the season, all components (screw connections, hoses etc.) must be
checked for leak-tightness and, if necessary, exchanged. Before taking the unit into operation
at the start of the season, it should be thoroughly rinsed through with water.
In the event of any malfunctions at the unit, any repairs may only be performed by the
manufacturer.
The fastening components of the pump (retaining rings) are marked with sealing wax.
If any of the sealing wax sealings are damaged, the warranty will completely expire.
The suction strainer should also be cleaned (rinsed) during the season.
