8. Troubleshooting guide
PROBLEM
CAUSE
REMEDY
Engine will not start.
1.
No fuel.
2.
Pressure buildup after initial use.
3.
Not started or chocked.
4.
Spark plug wire not attached.
5.
Engine ON/OFF switch in OFF position.
1.
Add fuel.
2.
Squeeze gun trigger to relieve pressure.
3.
Pull choke of engine 3 times.
4.
Attach spark plug wire.
5.
Place engine ON/OFF switch in ON
position.
No or low pressure (initial
use)
1. Wand not in high pressure.
2. Leak at high pressure hose.
3. Nozzle obstructed.
4. Water filter screen clogged.
5. Defective E-Z start valve.
6. Air in hose.

See high pressure operation.
2.
* Repair leak. Apply Teflon tape if
necessary.
3.
Clean nozzle with paper clip or nozzle
cleaning tool, pour water into nozzle end
to flush out obstruction.
4.
Remove and clean filter
5.
* Check with Authorized Warranty
Service Center.
6.
Turn off the engine, then the water
source. Disconnect the water source
from the pump inlet and turn the water
source on to remove all air from the
hose. When there is a steady stream of
water present, turn water source off.
Reconnect water source to pump inlet
and turn on water source. Squeeze
trigger to remove remaining air.
Water leaking at gun/wand
connection
1. Worn o-ring.
2. Loose hose connection.

* Check and replace.

Tighten
Water leaking at pump
Loose connections.
Tighten.
NOTE: Little leaking at pump outlet is normal.
Oil leaking at pump
1.
Oil seals worn.

Pump overfilled.

Incorrect oil used
