Use the thermometer to check for the temperature of the cooling section and record the 
temperature.   The thermostat switch must be used to correct the temperature if it does not 
correspond to the required value. 
Refer to the section “Troubleshooting” if you do not obtain an acceptable result. 

 

Check for the colour of the gas-flame, if the device is operated with gas.  For optimum 
performance the gas-flame colour must be blue.  If it is not the case, the burner and the burner 
head, respectively must be cleaned. 

 

Check for the remaining gas in the gas cylinder. 
Do always keep a filled gas cylinder in reserve. 
Do always replace the gas cylinder before it is completely empty. 

 

Store the vaccines according to the correct sequence, and make sure that air can circulate freely 
between the individual packages. 

 

Remove immediately any remaining liquids in the inner container.

Check for the ice layer on the evaporator.  If the ice layer is thicker than 1 cm, the device must be 
defrosted.  (See section “Defrosting”) 

 

Clean the lid sealing and verify that the lid is locking tightly.

Use a soft brush to free the unit from dust. 

 

Clean the device inside and outside.  Use lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent.  Abrasive or 
caustic cleaning agents, steel wood, scouring sponges, or chemical cleaning agents should in no 
case be used.  After the cleaning is finished, the device should be dried properly. 

 

Clean the lid sealing. 

 

Check the hinges and locks of tight fastening and very that the lid is locking tightly. 
Verify that all gas line connections are free of leaks.

(i.e. ambient temperature not exceeding 32°C) and with continuous cooling operation.  Higher 
ambient temperatures will only allow for less Icepacks to be frozen. 

 

Fill the Icepacks corresponding to the accompanying figure.
