Main power cable, ground cable and main fuse
When installing tail lifts on trailers, it is recommended that the CD 4 controller with main power switch be
used.
The main power cable has to be run through a plastic collar and must not be fastened to the brake line
or the vehicle's existing electrical system. The main fuse has to be fitted close to the battery.
1. Screw the fuse box in a suitable well-protected place as close to the battery as possible.
2. Run the main power cable from the battery to the fuse box. Prepare the cable with cable terminals with-
out connecting.
3. Run the main power cable from the fuse box to the controller’s main power switch and connect to the
same. Prepare the cable with a cable terminal without connecting to the fuse box.
4. Run the main power cable from the main power switch and connect to the quick connector on the tail
lift’s cabling.
5. Run the ground cable from vehicle’s grounding point to the quick connector on the tail lift’s cabling.
NOTE!
Cable connection to the battery and main fuse is performed later in section

after completion of cable routing / installation.
