1. The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
2. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children without supervision.
3. Use fan only for intended use, as described in instruction manual.
4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse unit, plug, or cord in water or
spray with liquids.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another,
before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
7. Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
8. Do not place fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating
appliances.
9. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
10. This product is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial
use.
11. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
12. Before wiring the paddle fan, turn off the electric power supply at the main fuse box
or main circuit breaker and leave it off until installation is complete.
13. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and
capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 35 pounds. Use only
metallic outlet boxes.
14. Do not install paddle fan less than 2.3m between floor and lowest
edge of fan blades.
15. Never attempt to stop the fan blades when it is in operation
16. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electric Code and local electrical
codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
17. Do not operate reversing switch while fan blades are in motion. Fan must be turned
off and blades stopped before reversing blade direction.
18. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
19. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth
or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning. Turn off the electric
power supply before cleaning.
20. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should be turned upward and
pushed carefully up into outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the
grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the
outlet box.
